Certification Categories
MSU units and on-campus students can earn Green Certification by completing online self-assessment forms available on the Office of Campus Sustainability Web site. To acknowledge the distinct functions within the university, certification forms were created for five categories: (click to download)
Units with multiple functions should complete the forms for all applicable categories.
Certification Process
- Select the Green Certification form most applicable to your area. Most units will use the office certification form; however, if your unit has specialized subunits, select the all forms that apply.
- Complete the selected form or forms online by checking “yes,” “no”,“N/A” (not applicable), or "Plan to" for each characteristic on the form. Check “yes” only if your unit exhibits a characteristic 75 percent of the time.
- The deadline for 2009–10 applications is March 5, 2010.
- Certification status will be determined on or before April 1, 2010.
If you have questions about the certification process or completing a form, e-mail the Office of Campus Sustainability at begreen@msu.edu.
